From your last day in Nairobi to your first settled week abroad — MCL’s relocation service ensures every practical detail is handled with care.

 

The practical logistics of relocating to another country are often underestimated. Flights, accommodation, bank accounts, health insurance, local registration, SIM cards, and cultural adjustment all demand attention in the first weeks — at a time when you may be overwhelmed, jet-lagged, and far from your support network.

MCL’s Travel & Relocation Support service handles these logistics so you can focus on your new job or studies. We begin before you leave Nairobi with a thorough pre-departure briefing, continue with practical guides for your first week in the country, and follow up post-arrival to make sure everything is going smoothly.

This service is available as a standalone option for those who have already secured their placement and visa, or as a bundled addition to any MCL recruitment or study abroad package.

Your journey with us

  • Pre-departure briefing

A 2-hour session (in person or online) covering what to expect, what to bring, and what to do in your first 72 hours in the country.

  • Accommodation research

We research options for temporary and longer-term accommodation near your destination, present shortlists, and advise on what is normal for that city and budget.

  • Travel planning

We advise on the best flight routes, what to declare at customs, airport transfer options, and how to get from the airport to your accommodation.

 
  • Settlement kit

You receive a destination-specific guide covering: registering with local authorities, opening a bank account, getting a local SIM, accessing healthcare, and using public transport.

  • Post-arrival call

Two weeks in, we call or message to check how the transition is going, answer any questions, and connect you with resources if needed.
